    • Asking “where is that found in the Bible?” propagates a misunderstanding of Christianity.
    • Orthodox priest Fr. John Whiteford:
      • Epistles were written primarily to answer specific problems that arose in various Churches; thus, things that were assumed and understood by all, and not considered problems were not generally touched upon in any detail.
    • What is Sacred Tradition?
      • The oral tradition (teaching) handed down by the apostles.
    • Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture are co-equal.
      • 2 Thessalonians 2:15:
        • “So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter.”
    • Just like Scripture is inspired, so is Sacred Tradition.
